I would love to do it but 1. don't have the confidence and 2. don't know where to start. Advice??

I totally understand the confidence side of it. Try taking some pictures here and there and you can submit them here(or even show them to a loved one), I’ll tell you what I’m looking for and what not. You can specify in the submission that I you would not like them posted just some advice or you can just begin taking pictures to really just get used to it.
Remember that you can submit anonymously by logging out, but if you’d like me to like me to respond back without anyone seeing you’d have to log in. :) I won’t bite, so don’t be afraid <3
I don’t tell anyone which pictures are of myself though, I like to keep it in mystery ;)
